Where The Lost Art of Enochian Magic:
Angels, Invocations, and the Secrets Revealed to Dr. John Dee
By John DeSalvo Ph.D. (Author), Lon Milo DuQuette (Foreword)

Enochian magic is a powerful, ancient system for opening portals to heavenly realms and enabling the ascent to God. The basis for many of the modern systems of magic, including the Golden Dawn, Enochian magic is named after the biblical prophet Enoch. Enoch received the same knowledge and wisdom that was later conveyed by angels in the 16th century to Dr. John Dee, the astrologer to the court of Queen Elizabeth I. In The Lost Art of Enochian Magic, John DeSalvo traces the history of magic--from the earliest civilizations of the Akkadians and Egyptians through the Greco-Roman period and up to the present time--to reveal how magic has penetrated and influenced our religious beliefs and practices today. Through his unprecedented investigation into the angelic magic of Dr. John Dee, during which time he deciphered Dee’s original phonetic notations in the margins of Dee’s 16th-century diaries, DeSalvo learned to properly reproduce the “Enochian calls,” which act like mantras in opening higher realms and invoking angels, key to this type of magical practice. DeSalvo shows how to use Enochian magic for personal spiritual development and also as protection from negative energies. In addition to providing detailed instructions for performing the magical meditations, this book includes a 20-minute CD that demonstrates and offers guidance in the correct pronunciation of the Enochian calls used in the practice of Enochian magic.

The Angelical Language, Volume I:
The Complete History and Mythos of the Tongue of Angels
By Aaron Leitch

The Angelical language channeled by alchemist Edward Kelley and recorded by royal astrologer John Dee has mystified magicians, linguists, historians, and cryptographers for generations. It's even rumored that the language may be an encryption method of some kind, unbroken to this day. This fascinating, in-depth analysis reveals the truth behind the saga of two Renaissance wizards who spoke with angels and received instruction in the celestial tongue. This volume begins with an exploration of the mystical traditions that influenced Dee's work—the Fifty Gates of Binah, the legends of Enoch, and the Book of Soyga. It presents an in-depth study of the forty-nine Tables of Loagaeth (Speech From God), the forty-eight Angelical Keys (or Calls), and the drama surrounding them as chronicled in Dee's journals. Special features include an analysis of the translations of the 48 Keys, instructions for the magickal use of Angelical characters, and a complete Angelical Psalter. Aaron Leitch's long-awaited masterwork reveals in plain language—for the first time ever—how the Angelical language was received, for what it was intended, and how to use it properly, providing a fascinating historical context for its practical application in The Angelical Language, Volume II: An Encyclopedic Lexicon of the Tongue of Angels.

The Angelical Language, Volume II:
An Encyclopedic Lexicon of the Tongue of Angels
By Aaron Leitch

This masterwork is the most comprehensive analysis of John Dee's Angelical language ever undertaken. Most Enochian dictionaries merely present word lists—this encyclopedic textbook presents a wealth of original material and expands upon (and corrects) previously published information. It is designed so readers can actually learn the language and use it in their own magick. For the first time ever, every Angelical word recorded in Dee’s books, journals, and personal grimoire is recorded and cross-referenced in a number of helpful ways, allowing the reader to recognize root words, alternate spellings, and more. The Angelical Language, Volume II includes notes about each word's definition, history, or usage—both Dee's original marginal notations and new commentary by the author. Also presented are Dee's own phonetic notations, as well as a brand-new pronunciation key designed to make it easier to speak the language. The material within these pages is based strictly upon Dee's journals and personal grimoire. There are no inclusions from later mystics or organizations. This reference work, along with its companion guide, The Angelical Language, Volume I: The Complete History and Mythos of the Tongue of Angels, is the authoritative guide to the celestial language in its purest form.

The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee
By Geoffrey James

Based on the transcriptions of Dr. John Dee, the famous Elizabethan scientist and magus, The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee is the translation of the original material received from direct Angelic contact. In 1852 Dee and his partner Edward Kelly, while gazing into a crystal stone, began to see and hear angels. These beings desired to re-establish the true art of magic, which had been lost due to man’s wickedness and ignorance. The true magical art, these beings claimed, would bestow superhuman powers upon its practitioners, change the political structure of Europe, and herald the coming of the Apocalypse. Dee believed this research would greatly benefit mankind and documented all of the channeled information into a series of manuscripts and workbooks. Author Geoffrey James presents here the direct translation of the core of the channeled material itself, framed in a historical context, with authority and integrity.

Enochian Vision Magick:
An Introduction and Practical Guide to the Magick of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley
By Lon Milo DuQuette

Dr. John Dee (1527-1608) was one of the greatest minds of the Elizabethan Age, and his system of angelic communication was the result of the most dramatic magical operation ever recorded. It has survived to become the cornerstone of the modern ceremonial magician's practice. In 1582 Dee and his clairvoyant partner Edward Kelley made magical contact with a number of spiritual entities who identified themselves as angels — the same that communicated with Adam, Enoch, and the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Over the next three years they revealed to Dee and Kelley three distinct magical systems of vision magick. The third and last of these incorporated a series of "calls" to be recited in an angelic language in order to raise the consciousness of the magician to a level where angelic contact is possible. Best-selling author and magician, Lon Milo DuQuette, who has practiced Dee's system for over twenty-five years, has seized upon elements of the original Dee material overlooked by adepts of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and other modern magicians, and brought them to light in Enochian Vision Magick. DuQuette offers the expert and novice alike the practical means by which they can become attuned in the same simple step-by-step manner that first prepared Dee and Kelley. There has never been a book on Enochian magick like this one.

Practical Enochian Magick
By Jason Augustus Newcomb

Enochian Magick is arguably the most intriguing and potent form of ceremonial magick available today. Dr. John Dee, a prominent philosopher in the Elizabethan court, literally received this system of magick from angels through the scrying mediumship of Edward Kelly. This book offers a complete approach to conducting this magical system for the modern adept. It contains instructions in the practical use of all three major parts of the Enochian system: the Four Watchtowers, the Thirty Aethyrs and the Heptarchia Mystica. Rather than a mere rehash of Golden Dawn material this book offers an approach that honors both the innovations of the Golden Dawn and the essence of the original Dee materials in an un-dogmatic and nonsectarian format that is extremely accessible. Although this book is particularly designed for students of the New Hermetics, any practicing occultist interested in the Enochian system will find this book incredibly useful.

Enochian Initiation:
A Thelemite's Magical Journey into the Ultimate Transcendence
By Frater W.I.T.

Experience a new reality through wondrous visions of the Enochian angels. Enochian magick, a system of angelic evocation, is one of the oldest forms of ceremonial magick in the Western world, and perhaps the single most powerful magical system in all occultism. It was developed by the Elizabethan magician Dr. John Dee who, with the assistance of his seer, Edward Kelly, channeled an angelic language and alphabet that is remarkably effective in opening up the mind to currents of intelligence far beyond the human norm. Whether you are a beginner on your path of study or already an advanced magician, there is something for you in Enochian Initiation. Author Frater W.I.T. shares his own experiences and deeply personal visions, expanding upon and broadening the path toward understanding forged by John Dee, Aleister Crowley, and other great magicians who have come before. By bringing this practice into the modern era, Frater W.I.T. shows how human consciousness can be expanded and examined more closely than with simple meditation, psychoanalysis, or even mind-altering drugs. For those of you who might have hesitated to study Enochian magick because you do not share the same beliefs or convictions of the deeply religious Elizabethans, rest assured that it is possible to achieve the same results within a neutral spiritual context. Frater W.I.T. has developed a nonreligious spirituality in his conjurations while still using Hebrew and Enochian divine names. Through this book, you too will learn how to develop new techniques and ideas to shape your own magical style and method.

Practical Angel Magic of Dr John Dee's Enochian Tables
By Stephen Skinner, David Rankine

From two previously unpublished 17th century manuscripts on Angel Magic, with instructions for their use as used by Wynn Westcott, Alan Bennett, Rev. Ayton, F L Gardiner and other members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The authors have discovered what happened to John Dee's most important manuscript, his book of personal angelic invocations which he kept in Latin, and how it was preserved and developed by 17th century magicians into a full working magical system. How only a small part of this material reached the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in the 1880's. Even this was then suppressed by the chiefs of the Order, and it did not appear in Israel Regardie's monumental work on the Order rituals. They have also traced how the classical techniques of invocation and evocation drawn from late mediaeval grimoires, were passed through John Dee's magic, via Elias Ashmole, to the aristocratic angel magicians of the 17th century, including some of the most powerful and influential figures in England. In the 20th century many fanciful constructions were added to GD Enochian by writers such as Aleister Crowley, who were however all unaware of the completely developed system that already existed, and which is here published in full for the first time.

John Dee's Conversations with Angels:
Cabala, Alchemy, and the End of Nature
By Deborah E. Harkness

Elizabethan England's most famous natural philosopher John Dee recorded his reflections on the natural world, the practice of natural philosophy, and the apocalypse in a series of conversations with angels, which have long been an enigmatic facet of his life and work. This book makes extensive use of Dee's library and annotations to clarify this mystery by providing a detailed analysis of these conversations. Professor Harkness contextualizes Dee's angel conversations within the natural, philosophical, religious, and social contexts of his time, arguing that the conversations represent a continuing development of John Dee's earlier concerns and interests. This book will appeal to those with an interest in the history of science, students of religion, and everyone who approaches the new millennium with a wary eye.

Treatise on Angel Magic:
Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks
By Adam McLean

From the world's leading authority on alchemical texts comes a classic facsimile edition of a late 17th century collection of Western esoteric ideas on Angel Magic. This volume is an exact and complete transcription of the original rare manuscript Harley 6482, considered one of the most important occult manuscripts in the British Library. Harley 6482 is one of six volumes in a collection described as "The Treatises of Dr. Rudd." Rudd, a Hebrew scholar, seemed to have had available a broad spectrum of primary sources and a secret tradition about the Enochian Tables of John Dee. In his writing on Angels, Rudd exposes himself as a practicing magician as well as a scholar of esoteric material. He was deeply immersed in the dualistic picture of the spiritual world, which is of great importance in esotericism. McLean has transcribed the text of Harley 6482 (on Angel Magic) in its entirety, modernizing the spelling in places but remaining as loyal as possible to the style of Dr. Rudd. McLean believes this Treatise was written by Rudd for use by a group of practicing occultists centered around him. Includes detailed sections on the Schemhamphoras, the 72 Angels that bear the name of God; the hierarchies of the fallen angels; rapturous Images of the Mansions of the Moon; evocation of the Natura Spirits; and John Dee's Enochian system of Angel conjuration.

John Dee's Occultism:
Magical Exaltation Through Powerful Signs
By Gyorgy E. Szonyi

A comprehensive look at the life and work of one of the towering figures of Renaissance mysticism. Delving into the life and work of John Dee, Renaissance mathematician and "conjurer to Queen Elizabeth," Gyorgy E. Szonyi presents an analysis of Renaissance occultism and its place in the chronology of European cultural history. Culling examples of "magical thinking" from classical, medieval, and Renaissance philosophers, Szonyi revisits the body of Dee's own scientific and spiritual writings as reflective sources of traditional mysticism. Exploring the intellectual foundations of magic, Szonyi focuses on the ideology of exaltatio, the glorification or deification of man. He argues that it was the desire for exaltatio that framed and tied together the otherwise varied thoughts and activities of John Dee as well.

John Dee
By Charlotte Fell Smith

John Dee (1527 - 1608) is most known for his work with Edward Kelley in contacting spirits and transcribing angelic language. Smith provides a clear retelling of their famous and tempestuous relationship and lays to rest some of the ridiculous stories about Dee. Charlotte Smith's biography draws from Dee's private diaries and several of his important works including 'The Book of the Mysteries' and 'A True and Faithful Relation', bringing to light all his truly remarkable accomplishments. As a man of great learning, he fell under the suspicion of his less-gifted contemporaries and suffered rumor and even imprisonment. But for the most part, he was quite famous in his day, serving as mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer to the royal court of England. Smith credits him for initiating the creation of England's National Library. This is the first complete biography of the 14th-century scientist, philosopher, and magician. Included in the book are 8 plates depicting some of Dee's works and pertinent memorabilia.

Alchemy for the New Aeon. In the year 1564, Dr. John Dee published his work, Monas Hieroglyphica. Its central symbol represented the unity which was the gnosis of the monotheistic aeon. This symbol represents the plurality and freedom of the New Aeon. This work of magical alchemy draws on such diverse material as Thelema, the Chaos Current, the Maat Current, Timothy Leary, Witchcraft, Paganism, the Hermetic Tradition, Taoism, Shamanism and the author's own Pineal Gland. The Kaos Hieroglyphica offers the reader interpretations of Hermetic symbolism in a way that is both insightful and relevant to New Aeon Magic.
